Despite the fact that I should have known what I was getting into listening to an internet radio station that plays Flogging Molly, I could have done without hearing this on the radio:

So goodbye, sweet Róisín Dubh, I say goodbye
Until we meet again
Until we meet again
Until we meet again, she arrives to beautify
But slumber now must rest
Oh my Róisín Dubh
I'll forever love
The youth you once possessed

Oh, Gwyn. I know it's really hard. :{

Thanks. Róisín was actually named after another song by the same band that had the name in it but this one is a little more poignant at the moment.

I think I told you this back when the album came out, but whenever I hear Tori Amos's "Sleeps with Butterflies," the line where she says "rivers that rush in" always sounds to me like she's saying "Róisín" instead. It's been a while since I heard it, but I guess it will make me a little sad from now on when I do.
