Aug. 7th, 2006 08:46 amI am going to die of cute. Ciara is the most precious thing I've ever seen. Except when she pounces on my feet in the middle of the night. And even then she's cute, just cutely annoying. She follows me around like a duckling does the mother duck. She just trots behind my feet and if I stop, she rubs up against my ankles. When she purrs her whole body shakes. She chases her tail round and round in a circle until she catches it and then looks up at me like 'what do I do with it now?'. I'm stopping at the drugstore on the way home today so I can get a disposable camera and inundate you all with pictures.
Oops, I did it again . . .
Aug. 3rd, 2006 07:48 pmOk, those who know me probably aren't surprised.
I took one cat to the vet, and came home with two.
Now, hear me out. The vet had these two abandoned kittens she was trying to find homes for, and one of them just called me. I saw her brother first, and thought "aw cute kitty". Then she poked her head up from behind him and I thought "mine." I just *knew* she was meant to come home with me. She's a black and orange tortie, and her name is Ciara. In fitting with the Irish theme, Ciara is an alternate form of Keira, meaning "dark", but if spelled Ceara, it means "firey red". Since she's both black and reddish, I figure it fits.
She's three months, and tiny. I was complaining before that I'd never had a kitten -- I got all my cats when they were older. So now I finally get my kitten fix. Pics forthcoming, as soon as I borrow someone's camera.
