Computer-mediated communications

I always find it rather interesting when I run into a friend or someone at work and they refer to something I've posted on LJ or on Facebook. It's like a single conversation that spans both internet and real life communications without pause or interruption. Kinda cool.

It always tends to weird me out a little, honestly; sometimes I just hack stuff out and toss it onto the blog and forget that anyone's *really* paying attention . . . :/ Oblivious? Moi? ;)

I think it's great. I'm at a stage in my life where really for the first time I have overlap between my internet friends and RL friends - folks I met online who I now talk to in person, and folks I met in person who now read me online. Before, there tended to be more of a disconnect. So it's new, but pleasant, to have conversations that span platforms :)
