I bought a couple of nice shiny noisy toys for Robin to play with and he has of course decided that all his material needs are met by a crumpled up receipt. He bats it around, pounces on it, lies on his back and tosses it into the air, catches it and carries it around proudly in his mouth.

*sigh* At least he's easily amused :)

Oscar is still not happy with Robin's presence. Mostly he just avoids the room where Robin is, although sometimes he hisses and growls in his direction. But mostly he's just been moody, sometimes being his normal happy self and other times hissing or grumbling at me or Samantha and generally being anti-social. I've tried spending extra time with him, so that he doesn't feel like he's being ignored in favour of the kitten, and it does seem to help somewhat. People have told me that part of the problem is probably that Robin isn't neutered yet -- he has an appointment in 2 weeks -- and that Oscar will probably feel less threatened after that's over.

Anyone have any other ideas for helping Oscar feel more comfortable about the new addition?
