I've figured out that working at the science library is bad carma (pun intended). Last time I was scheduled to work here, the car broke down on the way in to work.

Today I'm trying to get some errands done before work when all the sudden smoke starts coming out of the air conditioning vents. I don't even have the air conditioning on. Luckily I was at the bank which is right down the street from the mechanics to I take it in.

Turns out my heating coil went kapuphtht and would cost about $400 to replace. I just spent $400 on Monday getting the power steering working again. So they tell me they can just reroute the hoses and bypass the heating coil and I can replace it later when I actually need it and have the money to fix it. So now I've got no heat, but at least there's no smoke either and it's summer so no heat isn't exactly a hardship at the moment.

If this trend continues, I'm gonna have to quit.

Going through lists of medical journals I realise that some of them have "aging" in the title, and others have "ageing". Merriam-Webster allows for both spellings. I don't think I've seen "ageing" before. Is it regional? If so, where is it mostly used?

Ok, so on the alphabetical list of journals "American Industrial Hygiene Association Journal" is right underneath "American Indian Culture and Research Journal".

I, of course, transferred one word from the latter to the former and thought it said "American Indian Hygiene Association Journal". For a few moments, I was horribly offended.

Tonight, after work, I'm going to see Ella Enchanted.

Tomorrow I'm finishing my Shakespeare paper.

If there is time tomorrow after Shakespeare paper is finished, I will do my Shakespeare take-home final.

If I simply can't bear to look at any more Shakespeare after the paper is done, I will do the final on Monday.

Sunday I work.

So, by the end of the day Monday, I should be definitely free of all schoolwork related duties. Free!!!

Not a bad movie, although I would have liked it better if I hadn't just read the book a few days ago. The movie begins with the same basic premise as the book -- Ella is "gifted" by a fairy godmother with the gift of obedience (she has to do *anything* anyone tells her to) -- but the movie diverges from the book about 5 minutes into it and the plots bear almost no resemblance to each other from that point on. The fact that the book was so fresh in my mind kept me from enjoying the movie for itself, simply as a decent kids film.
