Another one of those days

So got up early this morning to go get my car towed to my mechanics then he took me out to buy the engine. The engine was out in Lexington which is about half an hour away from where I live. We get all the way out there, and my bank card is saying no available funds. Now, I just deposited a $900 check, so I *know* there's money there. I give them a call, and they can't find my deposit. Looks like it went in the wrong account. So my poor mechanic had to drive all the way back to Columbia so I could get the checks from my other account to pay for the engine, then back to Lexington to actually get the engine, all the while I'm on the phone with the bank trying to straighten things out. And we got in two major traffic jams because of road work. The engine did get bought and the bank stuff did get straightened out, but what should have been a 2 hour affair ended up taking about 5 hours all told.

It was a long day.
