Ok, so I knew I'd be sore in the morning, but this surpasses expectations. Anyone know the fastest way to get *really* sore muscles moving properly again? Not to mention the gouges in my arm where Robin, poor confused and traumatised kitty that he was, decided he didn't want to be held anymore and used me as a launching pad to go hide in the closet.
Went to Walmart late last night and got stuff like silverware and glasses, since it seems everything in the old house belonged to Christina.
But the new house is now liveable, at least. Of course, I have to remember to make myself finish packing up and cleaning the old house before I give into the temptation of unpacking and organising the new one. Bought two new bookshelves, plus got two more free from Christina who doesn't have room for them where she's going. The siren call of the boxes of books is stong: "shelve me! alphabatise me!" Must resist.
Depending on how I feel when I get off work today I might to gather up and move all the random *junk* still left over in the old house tonight. I'll be leaving the heavier stuff, like the TV, the computer, and the remaining boxes of books for when my arms no longer feel like jelly and my back isn't screaming at me.
Really need to go through the cabinets and start moving food over to the new place too. Currently our kitchen contains bread, milk, orange juice, Crystal Light, peanut butter (creamy and crunchy), pudding snack cups, jellied cranberry sauce, jelly (grape and strawberry), and used to contain yogurt, but I ate that this morning. Oh, and beer. Because after yesterday, we deserved it.
