Dec. 9th, 2004 04:29 pmTook the French test. Not as bad as I'd feared. Whether or not I passed will depend on how high their standards are. If all they're looking for is to see that I understood the passage I was given, then I'm fine. If they're looking for a readable colloquial translation I'm probably in trouble. I had problems with my verb tenses, and oftentimes I would understand what the sentence was saying, but couldn't think how best to phrase it so it sounded natural in English, so my translation ended up sounding disjointed at a little too literal. Ah well, if I fail there's always next semester, and now I know what to expect and what areas I need to work on.
Of course, now I'm done, done!, DONE!! And in honour of the end of the semester I went and got myself a celebratory piercing -- just another cartilege ring a little higher up on my left ear than my first one, but I'm happy with it :)
