Jul. 2nd, 2005 11:03 amSo I was going to get corn snakes, but I decided I liked budgies better.
I've been reading up on them, ever since I found out that you *can* keep budgies and cats at the same time if you're careful. Always wanted birds, and these guys are perfect. I don't want a big expensive parrot, and I don't want some of those little finches that look pretty but can't really be trained to do anything. Budgies are about sparrow-size, albeit with long tails, but they can be brought to hand like parrots and even taught to speak. And such lovely little birds, with a variety of colours and patterns.
So yeah, may still get the snakes later. But today I have budgies. Two of them, in fact. Too young to tell gender, which is really annoying while I'm trying to come up with names. One of them is a very light blue, almost white, and the other is green and yellow with dark blue on it's tail.
I'm a happy mommy.
