The third in the series, and I think my least favourite. Which isn't saying much since I find it quite a pleasant read. I'm really enjoying reading these books again after so long. I remember having to read the 5th book in the series in middle school for class, because it was the one that had won the Newberry. I was very upset that they were making us read the last book in the series without giving us enough time to finish the first four on our own. In fact, I'm still a little bitter :) Reading the first ones while knowing what ultimately happens to the characters denies you quite a bit of the experience. But I digress. Another great book from Mr. Alexander.
