Book #53 -- Neil Gaiman, Neil Gaiman and Charles Vess' Stardust, 212 pages.

I've actually read this before, but this is the version with all the lovely Charles Vess illustrations, plus they're making a movie out of it, so it deserved a re-read. It is, of course, wonderful. The illustrations make a huge difference, as if the text is only half the story. And they are, of course, lovely, as is everything Charles Vess does. I especially liked the portrayal of Tori the tree, with Tori-red leaves and a saucy cant to her trunk :)

Today sucketh

Didn't sleep well last night (as my posting a book review at 4am might have indicated). Plus it's that time of month, which, on top of all the normal associated discomforts, makes my sciatica worse. In general, I just really wish I could have stayed in bed all day today. Pah.
