My haul this year is significantly smaller than in previous years for two reasons.
1) I was much more selective in what I took since I *do* have to pay shipping to send it home. In previous years, this has cost me between $40-$50, which I tend to consider a small price to pay for nearly 200 books. But this year, I didn't really want to spend that much, so I took less and kept my shipping to around $25.
2) The vendors were much more stingy this year. The economy's hurting us all, I suppose, and the vendors brought fewer books to give away and fewer copies of the ones they did give out (they have to pay shipping too, I guess). There were several vendors who, rather than bringing ARCs to hand out, brought one or two copies of their offerings and allowed you to sign up to have them sent to you. So I'll be getting a few more in the mail eventually, hopefully. These are just the ones I picked up and sent back to myself.
So without further ado, the list:
( Long list of books )
