Random stuff

I'm staying home today. My sciatica has been particularly bad lately, and for the past few days the pain has *not stopped*. Even the Vicodin and Percocet aren't helping much. I'm going to stay home and rest in the hopes that maybe a little TLC will help break the cycle.

There is not enough room on my bed for me and four cats. And yet they insist.

Putting in my contacts with cats around is a dangerous thing. They're endlessly curious as to what I'm holding on my finger and they love to lick at the cleaning solution (which is essentially just saline). Trying to put in the contact with one hand and fend them off with the other does not make it easy. One of these days I swear one of them's going to eat a contact.

I really wish my postal carrier came earlier in the day. I'm lucky if she makes it here by 5pm when the door to the package room closes. Today I'm expecting a DVD from Netflix I'd love to be able to watch while I'm stuck horizontal for the day.

July has been a terrible month esp here on lj. Pain, loss, death, national news, relationships gone south, etc.
I've noticed your pain levels have been constantly high :(

Sometimes they do. Other times they spread out taking up as much room as they possibly can :)
