50bookchallenge, 15000pages

Book #119 -- Charles deLint, Promises to Keep, 173 pages.

Finally, what I've wanted for years -- a little more detail on how Jilly got off the streets and managed to turn herself into the annoyingly cheerful, lovable thing she was when I first met her. I really liked having more of Jilly's backstory, seeing her meet all the people we know and love from the earlier Newford stories.

I have _got_ to remember to get this once I have money again. Did you see that he has a YA novel coming out in the spring from Firebird called Dingo? I gotta admit, I'm really curious as to what that one will be about. I still haven't read Widdershins either--need to get on that, maybe after I'm finished with Phillip Reeve's Mortal Engines series.

Nope, I missed hearing about Dingo. I'll have to look into it. Widdershins is good, but pretty traumatic too. I put off reading it for a long time.

I'm reading Little (Grrl) Lost right now, but that one is up next! I got them both on Saturday.
