So now I have another symptom to add to my collection of medical woes. Not quite sure what's causing it yet, but my stomach has not been happy with me for the last few weeks. Sometimes it's fine, but other times with almost no warning, I'm running for the bathroom. I've identified 3 factors that seem to increase the likelihood of stomach trouble:
1) High dairy content
2) Red meat
3) Eating after a relatively long stretch of not-eating. Dinner after I've skipped lunch for example.
Of course it's not 100% reliable. I can skip lunch and have a dinner high in dairy or red meat and not have a problem one day, then eat three square meals of mostly grains the next and spend half the day in the bathroom.
It's getting really annoying, especially when it keeps me up at night, or contributes to my missed work. And of course my appetite is suppressed due to the pain anyway, so it's a struggle to eat properly on the best of days, and this doesn't make it any easier.
