Book #31 -- Pete Hamill, Forever, 613 pages.

I picked this one up because it was mentioned on the "New Amsterdam" boards that it had a similar plot. Which it does. As a general rule, I've always liked stories with immortal characters. Something about living forever while everything around you changes has always fascinated me. This one was good, but slightly disappointing because I just could not connect with the main character. Also, the author's habit of periodically lapsing into present tense was probably meant to be literary, but it just annoyed me.
