gwynhefarI collect depressing songs. It's a hobby. And I'm looking for more. But I'm also curious - do you know any songs where the lyrics *really* get to you? A specific point in the song where your heart just breaks for the speaker? If so, I want to know what song, and what lyrics!
My biggest example has always been the second verse of Beth Nielsen Chapman's "Sand and Water," a song she wrote after her husband died:
