Book #62 -- Ian McDowell, Merlin's Gift
, 251 pages.
The logical conclusion to the story that began with Mordred's Curse. This novel boasts both the best first line in a novel I've ever seen as well as the second-best descriptive passage. It is an incredible look at the fall of Camelot from a very different perspective than usual, and, despite the tragedy of events, it ends well - or, satisfactorily, I should say. A huge thank you to
yendi to bringing these books to my attention as I would have missed out on a wonderful story otherwise.
