Daily BPAL: BEATRICE

Daily Tarot: King of Pentacles: This is a chief of industry, a banker, or owner of large estates. He is a reliable married man and a mathematician with great financial gifts. The card can also betoken a steady temperament, slow to anger; success where money matters are concerned and reliability. I wonder what it means when the person I was thinking of when I drew this card is exactly the opposite of the card's description?

Reading:

And I haven't done one of these in awhile. You know the drill. Ask me a question in the poll, I'll answer it in a series of separate posts. Unless requested, the answers will be public. The questions will not. Half the fun for other folks is trying to figure out the question from the answer.

Book #96 - Miranda Jane Green, Celtic Myths, 78 pages.

A nice short overview of Celtic myths and what little archaeological evidence exists to support them. Green does a good job with her facts, and gives all the proper caveats when discussing the link between myth and archaeological evidence, but the presentation is a little choppy. From what I can tell, this was one of her earlier books though, so she's forgiven :)

Book #97 -- Hal Marcovitz, Teens and Gay Issues, 101 pages.

This book presents the findings of the 2003 Gallup Youth Survey on Gay Issues, along with context for the statistics and personal stories. The book presents the results as a small step toward a more gay-friendly society.
