18 million

Does anyone else use this particular number to denote a large (but exaggeratedly so) number or amount? I think it's a family thing, I'm pretty sure I've heard my mother use it. But it tends to be what comes out when I'm complaining: "I've got 18 million things to do this weekend", or more recently "I've got 18 million medical issues to discuss once I finally get a doctor".
The intended impression is that yes, whatever it is is a lot, but I'm purposefully exaggerating for effect. The other number I occasionally use is "a million and a half", but I use "18 million" much more often.
Wonder if it's a regional thing?
