My mother's surgery went as well as could have been hoped. They were able to replace the damaged component with minimal damage to the muscle, and hopefully it will be a long time before this needs to be done again. She'll be in the hospital for the rest of the week (which will drive her batty), but they're going to work on getting her up and about with a brace almost right away, which I'm sure she'll be happy about. Thanks for all your good wishes this weekend. They were much appreciated.
