Book #18 -- Jeri Smith-Ready, Eyes of Crow, 473 pages

This is just an incredible book, right up my alley. It tells the story of Rhia, growing up among a people whose duties within the village are determined by the animal spirit that lends their aspect to them as they come of age. Rhia is chosen by Crow, and thus given the difficult and heartbreaking task of guiding the dying to their final rest. And as war looms, her role becomes more difficult and more necessary than ever. I can't wait for the sequel to be released in October.

Hey, do you by any chance still have the link to the guy who made your cane? The secretary at the art school where I teach now has arthritis in both knees, and has been advised to use a cane. I did point her at fashionablecanes.com to give her something to look at while I frantically try to find the info on the guy who did mine.
