Ok, Dell Technicians, listen up. When my computer goes belly-up while still under warranty, *I* am the injured party here. I am not a supplicant. I am not required to turn my life upside down to accommodate *your* schedule and I am certainly not going to be slavishly grateful when you deign to grace me with your presence. The next person who huffs an exasperated sigh on finding out that no, I am *not* available in the middle of the day with no warning is going to feel my wrath. Such as it is.

Ticked off

So this morning when I come into work I can't find a parking space. Anywhere. All the faculty lots? They're full. And I noticed that a good number of cars in the faculty lots don't have a faculty permit, so they're students. Taking my parking space. I drove around for *40 minutes* trying to find somewhere I was allowed to park. Finally, almost half an hour late for my desk shift, I parked in an open metered space for which I didn't have enough coins. And I got a ticket, of course.

So I'm appealing the ticket. It is unacceptable that I pay over $100 a year for the privilege of parking at my workplace and still can't find a parking space if I get here any time after 8am. I am *not* paying that ticket. It's only $7, but it's the principle of the thing.
