Had dreams of senseless violence last night. The one I particularly remember involved getting beaten up by a group of students who mistakenly thought I was their history professor and were angry because they had gotten bad grades on the midterm. I kept protesting that I wasn't their professor but they wouldn't stop. In a later part of the dream I was talking to Tommy (who was still my roommate in the dream for some reason) about how I was at least glad none of them had had a gun or a knife, and how I had known other people on campus who'd been critically injured or killed by gangs. For whatever reason, the dream campus I was on was an exceedingly violent place. It bore no obvious relation to either USC or LSU.

There was also one dream where I was being held prisoner by someone, but I don't remember any more details. Like I said, strange, violent dreams. Didn't do much for my sleep quality either. Very tired this morning.

Finally about to go home. Bad sciatica day today. Think I'll go set myself up with a book and the heating pad. I really need to finish the last 200 or so pages of Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell in the next few days so I can get to reading Harry Potter when it shows up on my doorstep.
